Yogurt with a Persian Twist

White Moustache Yogurt is a small-batch yogurt company based in New York City, founded by Homa Dashtaki in 2010. The company's signature yogurt is made using a traditional Persian recipe that has been passed down through Dashtaki's family for generations.

The yogurt is made with grass-fed cow's milk from upstate New York and is strained in small batches for up to 24 hours to create a thick and creamy texture. It is then sweetened with honey or infused with flavors like cardamom, fig, and quince.

White Moustache Yogurt is known for its high quality and unique flavor, and has gained a loyal following in New York City and Southern California. The company's products are sold at farmers markets and specialty food stores in the NYC and Los Angeles metro areas.

In addition to yogurt, White Moustache also produces labneh, a Middle Eastern-style yogurt cheese, and whey drinks made from the leftover liquid from the yogurt-making process. The company is committed to sustainability and sources its ingredients from local and environmentally responsible producers.

I'm food- and- wine obsessed. Discovering a new recipe is a delight; refining a classic one is my all-consuming idée fixe.

This Dry Aged Steak is EPIC!

Angie Mar of The Beatrice Inn may have just raised the bar for dry-aged steaks! It’s dry-aged in Jack Daniels whiskey for 160 days.  Having this whiskey-aged steak at The Beatrice Inn (West Village, New York City) is definitely on my bucket list.
