What Does Real Japanese Street Food Look Like?

When we, food patrons of the Western world, think of Japanese food, we think of the food that's served at our local Sushi restaurant; California Rolls, Philly Rolls, Dragon Rolls, etc...  Misunderstood by most, a good portion of this food we call "Japanese" is not really Japanese food at all. It's Japanese-inspired food. These sushi rolls we all have fallen in love with were actually created to satisfy the tastes of American diners.

If you don't know what real Japanese food looks and tastes like, then how do you if it's authentic?
