The Contemporary French 75
A Celebratory Refreshing Cocktail
Traditionally made with Champagne, this French 75 formula uses Prosecco as the bubbly. The difference in the end, creates a drink that's more fizzy and less sparkling in the mouth. The flavors move from Champagne's brioche, toast and citrus fruit profile to Prosecco's apple, pear, and honeysuckle floral notes. This change makes it a more relaxing drink than a celebratory anthem.
Although the French 75 is most popular on New Year's Eve, this version of the drink would perfectly complement a light salad on a warm summer day.

Pair the French 75 with Apples, Pears and Soft Cheese
For our bubbly, we prefer Ménage à Trois Presecco. If you like your drink sweet, double the amount of simple sugar that's called for in the recipe.
The French 75 is best when served very cold. Be sure the bubbly has cooled a few hours in the fridge before guests arrive and the glass flutes are ice-chilled.
